Last night we got together despite the cold to prepare for our Singing Valentines Day. Roses were wrapped, cards were inscribed, routes were determined, goodies were consumed, jokes were told, and of course, songs were sung.

As one of the Top 6 acts in today’s 1st annual Old Fort Days Rodeo Super Star singing contest, the Riverblenders have won the honor to sing the National Anthem at the 78th Annual Old Fort Days Rodeo on Saturday night, June 4, at Kay Rogers Park. They will also sing a set on the Dr. Pepper stage that night (Carrie Underwood has performed on the same stage).
Congratulations to all the other winners who will sing through the week and Thanks to the workers and sponsors (Cavender’s, Pepsi, Breeden Dodge) who put on a great event! More details to come.
Members Only Area
Well, it’s been a long time since the last post here and that’s going to change. Meanwhile there is a solution for the much requested “Members Only” area that looks like it has good potential.
Tom Metzger, Lead of the 2005 International Barbershop Quartet Champion Realtime, has created a company and service called Groupanizer which is a one-of-a-kind Web-based group management and rich content solution created for performing musical groups. (Read a slick “Members Only” page that can help us communicate more efficiently.) We have a free evaluation period through the end of May so please, members, go to fsriverblenders.groupanizer.com and click on the “create new account” link to get started exploring. I have begun entering the skeleton content and will be fleshing that out. That’s all for now.

Welcome to the prospective new home of the Riverblenders on the Web! As of today the only people likely to know about this place are Riverblenders, but that can change soon. WordPress looks like a great place to have an attractive and dynamic presence on the Internet. Here we can keep ourselves and the community informed about our goings-on and so much more.
Yes, it’s pretty sparse right now but it’s also very late (2:30 am) so I’ll just say:
